The Problem
Niche and designer fragrances are expensive — a single bottle can run $200–$400+. Most people want to try before they commit, but sampling options are limited. Decant sellers exist, but they're scattered across Reddit, Facebook groups, and forums with no buyer protection, no verified sellers, and no standardized experience. It's fragmented, risky, and frustrating.
What We Built
Obsidia is a mobile-first marketplace for fragrances — decants, partial bottles, and full bottles — sold by verified sellers. Think of it as StockX meets the fragrance community. Sellers list with detailed info and authenticity proof, buyers browse and purchase with secure payments, and the platform holds funds until delivery and a 48-hour inspection window. Disputes are limited to clear, objective issues (wrong item, not received, leakage) with evidence — no subjective "smell" disputes.
